Israel Salary for Indian Workers in Rupees — the honest 2026 guide
Israel is the highest-paying corridor we handle — and the one with the worst fake-visa problem. This page puts real numbers in one place: what each trade actually pays, what Israeli law guarantees you, and how to tell a real offer from a WhatsApp story.
Trade-by-trade: what Israel actually pays
| What you do | Indicative monthly pay | What sets the number |
|---|---|---|
| Skilled construction — mason, shuttering carpenter, steel fixer, plasterer, tiler | ₹1.6 – 2.8 lakh / month (indicative) | Verified demand ranges. The most recent Israel campaign (Kochi interviews, Sep–Oct 2026) started at NIS 6,500 basic for 182 hours a month. |
| Electrician, plumber, CNC operator, drill rig operator | from NIS 6,500 basic (≈ ₹2.05 lakh) + overtime | Same recent verified demand. CNC milling/programming and drill rig roles were selected by CV, not walk-in interview. |
| Caregiving | NIS 6,248 – 8,000 / month (≈ ₹1.9 – 2.5 lakh) | Tracks Israel’s legal wage floor for caregivers. Employer-provided accommodation is usual. |
| Agriculture / greenhouse work | below construction, above Gulf helper pay | The bilateral entry lane for freshers — no trade test, lower pay band, same legal protections. |
| General construction / helper | at or above ≈ ₹2 lakh / month | Israeli minimum wage applies to foreign workers exactly as it applies to Israelis. There is no legal "foreigner rate". |
Rupee figures use the September 2026 exchange rate (about ₹31.5 per shekel). The rate moves; your signed contract does not — it is fixed in shekels.
Why Israel pays more than the Gulf
- Regulated wages. Foreign workers are legally entitled to Israel’s national minimum wage — from April 2026 that is about NIS 6,443.85 a month (≈ ₹2 lakh). No employer can legally pay below it.
- A government framework, not a broker market. Recruitment runs under the India–Israel bilateral agreement — 42,000 workers since May 2023, and on 26 February 2026 both governments agreed to add up to 50,000 more over five years.
- Employer-side costs stay with the employer. Accommodation and medical insurance are standard parts of verified Israel demands.
- Overtime is law, not favour. Construction workers on B/1 visas are entitled to a fixed 236 paid hours a month including premium-rate overtime (Kav LaOved, the Israeli workers’ rights NGO).
The one-line scam check
Put plainly: anyone promising you ₹3.5 lakh a month in Israel is selling you a story — the legal math does not support it. A real offer comes with an employer name, a shekel contract and an RA licence number you can verify yourself on emigrate.gov.in. Ours is RA5501045 — check it before you believe anything on this page.
Straight answers
How much does an Israel job pay an Indian worker in rupees?
Indicatively ₹1.6–2.8 lakh per month for skilled construction trades and around ₹1.9–2.5 lakh for caregivers at September 2026 rates. The legal floor alone (Israel’s minimum wage, about NIS 6,443.85 from April 2026) converts to roughly ₹2 lakh a month.
Why do some agents advertise ₹3.5 lakh a month for Israel?
The legal math does not support it — anyone promising ₹3.5 lakh a month is selling a story, and that exact bait runs on social media right now. A real demand comes with an employer name, a shekel contract and an RA licence number you can check on emigrate.gov.in.
Is my salary fixed in rupees or shekels?
Shekels. Your signed contract states NIS amounts and stays fixed; rupee figures on this page are indicative only, converted at about ₹31.5 per shekel (September 2026). Keep a photo of your signed contract from day one.
Is accommodation included in Israel jobs?
Accommodation and medical insurance are standard parts of verified Israel demands — employer-side costs sit with the employer under the bilateral framework. Food is usually your own expense.
What was the basic salary in the latest Israel recruitment drive?
The most recent campaign our office processed (Kochi interviews, September–October 2026) offered NIS 6,500 for 182 basic hours a month across five trades, with CNC and drill-rig roles selected by CV. Overtime in Israeli construction is paid at premium rates on top.
