Dubai Police issued warnings about exactly these adverts four times in 2026 alone (January, July, July, August) — that is how industrial-scale this bait is. Here is what is actually behind it, and what a real driver route looks like.

Who Pays in Legal Hiring: Not You

In the UAE, the employer sponsors the work visa. That is the legal structure — the company pays the sponsorship and permit costs for the worker it wants. So when an ad says 'free visa' and then asks you for 'processing', 'insurance', 'medical' or 'ticket confirmation' money, it contradicts itself: nobody charges the worker for a visa the employer is legally sponsoring. Genuine employer-sponsored hiring means you pay zero visa cost; your real costs are your passport, medical and police certificate.

The Fee-Escalation Trap

The pattern police describe: a small 'confirmation fee' to hold the 'job', then a 'visa processing' amount, then 'agent commission', then 'airport pickup' — each small enough to pay, adding up to more than a legal placement would ever cost, with no job at the end. Victims who travelled reached Dubai on visit visas — which carry no work rights — and found no employer existed. Overstaying a visit visa is itself an offence; that is the second trap after the money is gone.

The MOHRE Check (2 Minutes)

A UAE job offer can be verified through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) — via the MOHRE app or mohre.gov.ae. A real offer letter exists in the employer's name through official channels. No MOHRE record, no job — whatever the PDF in your WhatsApp says. Dubai Police's own advice: secure work visas only through official channels, and report scam ads (eCrime / Al Ameen).
